Parker GHE 20 ga Damascus $5,500.00

Built in 1912 on a #0 frame. The barrels retain much of their original Damascus pattern with good bores that show only slight fading. The rubber pad has been added, but the stock on this gun has not been cut and can be easily returned to its original state with the addition of a butt plate. Both the forend and stock have been professionally freshened. The engraving is raised to the touch, with 30-40% original case color remaining.

Merkel Pre-war 201E 12ga $9,500.00

Pre- WWII 201E with fine arabesque scrollwork engraving. This shotgun was imported by A. F. Stoeger, Inc. The barrels are in good condition, with just a few handling marks along the rib and bright, shiny bores. There is one small area of pitting on the barrels near the Stoeger stamp, which appears to have abated and is neither deep nor broad. The receiver shows 40-60% case color remaining, with even stronger showings in the protected areas. The engraving is still raised to the touch, and the screws show little or no evidence of tampering. The wood is in excellent condition, with far fewer handling marks than would be expected for a shotgun of this era. All serial numbers are matching, and the action is nice and tight. This gun is ready to shoot, or will serve as an excellent collectible example of the pre-Berlin Wall Merkels.

Smith & Wesson #2 Army Engraved $3995.00

Nickel finish with a keyhole barrel. Half-moon, German silver front sight. Smooth Rosewood Grips. Engraved by L. D. Nimschke in patterns identical to those found on page 23 of "L. D. Nimschke Firearms Engraver" by R. L. Wilson. Engraving consists of 50-60% coverage of fine, intertwined foliate, arabesque patterns with punch dot background and a large fouled anchor on the sideplate. Opposite sideplate bears some cross-hatching. Backstrap & buttstrap are also engraved. The cylinder has 75-80% coverage in matching engraving. This revolver is accompanied by a Smith & Wesson factory letter identifying it as having been shipped May 30th, 1865 to J. W. Storrs, New York City, NY (S&W's sole agent from 1856 to 1869), & listed in a shipment of 75 mixed revolvers-all with plain finish. The letter also identifies it as Nimschke engraved. Its condition is very good, & all matching including grips. Retains 30-40% original finish, with balance cleaned to bright metal. Original finish may be silver plating, but polished bright it appears to be nickel. There are scattered instances of fine pitting, mostly around forcing cone area, with heavier pitting on cylinder face. Hinge pin screw is a replacement & may be stripped. Grips show moderate to heavy wear retaining 30-40% of original varnish, with a couple of minor chips on edges. Mechanics are fine. Bore is strong dark
